Nouveaux sacs .

Pour affronter la foule de " L'Aiguille en Fête " à Paris , il me faut bien ça : un nouveau pantalon et deux nouveaux sacs pour emporter mes effets personnels et pour rapporter mes achats ! Je serai alors mieux préparée que l'an dernier !

To go to " L'Aiguille en Fête " in Paris , I need that : a new pair of trousers and two new bags to carry my stuff and to bring back the things I'll buy ! I'll be more than ready to face the crowd !

J'ai utilisé du tissu matelassé dégriffé haute couture ( que j'ai acheté il y a quelques années à Lannion aux "Tissus Charles " quand on y trouvait encore des merveilles ) et le patron " Weekender Travel Bag " de Amy Butler .
Je l'ai doublé avec un simple coton couleur chocolat .

I sewed this bag with a designer fabric I bought years ago in a fabric shop in Lannion , I used the " Weekender Travel Bag " pattern by Amy Butler . The lining is a simple chocolate cotton I had in my stash .

Pour le deuxième sac , j'ai utilisé un des tissus de la collection " Portobello Market " de chez Moda et le patron "Practical Bag " de chez Grand Revival . Encore une fois j'ai utilisé un coton couleur lin que j'avais dans mes armoires .

To make the second tote , I used one of the " Portobello Market " fabrics from Moda and the "Practical Bag " pattern from Grand Revival . The lining is also a cotton I had in my sewing room .


Et j'ai cousu ce pantalon avec un patron Neue Mode (que j'avais déjà utilisé pour faire un pantalon gris ) et un coupon de lainage couleur chocolat que j'avais déjà .
Je reviens après mon escapade parisienne pour vous raconter le salon !

Du rouge et des torsades ...

Bonsoir ! Comme promis , je vous parle de tricot aujourd'hui . Pour Noël , ma mère m'a offert ce col rouge qu'elle a tricoté . Avec le fil qu'il lui restait , j'ai fait une paire de gants assortis . (Le petit accroche-gants en appliqué est également un cadeau de Maman , fait d'après un modèle d'un livre de patchwork japonais ).

Hi there ! As I promised , today I'm going to talk about knitting . My mother gave me this red cowl for Christmas , and I knitted a pair of gloves with the two balls she had left .( She also made the little " gloves-hanger " with a pattern coming from a Japanese patchwork book )

Et voici mon tricot du moment : une longue veste torsadée d'après un modèle du livre " Cathay " de Debbie Bliss . J'utilise le fil " Roma " de Jaeger (fil qui n'est plus commercialisé ) .

This is my knit-in-progress : a longline cabled cardigan , pattern from Debbie Bliss book " Cathay " .The yarn I'm using is Jaeger Roma (which is now discontinued ) .
